Peparedness

When extreme weather events strike, both emergency services and ordinary citizens need to be prepared. This is how you prepare.

Warnings of hazardous weather

According to guidelines agreed with the Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish National Police, the Danish Meteorological Institute issues warnings for Danish land and coastal areas up to 36 hours before hazardous weather is expected.

In the event of a weather warning, keep up to date with announcements from the authorities.

Prepared for crises

Extreme weather events are set to become more frequent and more severe, and this could affect all or parts of Denmark. The most direct consequence of a crisis for you as a private individual could be supply disruption. General recommendations have been established for how to prepare for a crisis situation, and these also apply for extreme weather events.
